At some point or another we start feeling drained and burned out or maybe picked up some bad habits that can cause you to feel tired and worn out. It’s best to take a pause and give yourself a good look, so you can try to improve your energy and happiness levels every day.
Here are some ways to help you from having your energy drained (both spiritually and physically) and to be happier throughout the year.
- Put your devices away for an hour.
- Be more grateful.
- Go to sleep a little earlier. Allow yourself enough sleep to wake up refreshed.
- Doing to much.
- Spend more time outside. Take walks. Stand in the sun. More nature, more life!
- Let yourself be sad without guilt. Don’t wish you felt better right away. Sometimes you need to be sad.
- Write down your goals. Track your progress and make adjustment to your goals as needed.
- Make a vision board.
- Spend some time alone. Sometime alone is good for you.
- Start a journal. Write about the day.
- Read more books.
- Eat a healthy.
- Move your body more. Lift weights, try yoga , do Zumba, dance. Get moving.
- Learn something. Learning is good for you. Never stop.
- Take daily quiet time. Try meditation.
- Get rid of some things. Don’t let yourself be buried in clutter. If it doesn’t make bring you joy, you probably don’t need it.
- Spending unnecessary money.
- Celebrate victories. Big or small.
- Make people smile. One of the fastest ways to feel happy is by making someone else happy. Do a good deed. Smile at a stranger. Volunteer your time. Buy someone a meal.
- Say no. Stop saying yes and feeling obligated to do things that you don’t want to do.
- Focus on the long term goals.
- Have more fun.
Here is a list of items that we really enjoyed in our home for 2018. This list isn’t really big but they have made life a little smoother for us in our home. You can read about my 9 Holy Grail Skin Care Favorites Of 2018
Method Cleaning Supplies We started using Method early in the year. I wanted to find a cleaner that was more natural around our cats but would also do the job. So far we use the laundry soap, Bathroom cleaners- toilet and daily shower, Daily cleaner for the kitchen, Antibacterial cleaner for the cat box and Degreaser for the stove and oven. For natural cleaners, their line is very affordable.
Echo Dot Alexa reminds me to water the plants, take my nightly vitamins and insulin, time dinner or laundry and she also plays Spotify for our at home work out sessions. I also have her telling me each morning what the weather and news is like for the day. My husband on the other hand, uses her to tell him jokes or to confuse the cats by playing cat noises.
Kindle Fire HD 8 I love using my Kindle Fire for all of my ebooks. I could use my iPad Pro for my books but I don’t really like the idea of walking around with a tablet of that size. The kindle is the perfect size. I take it on the bus with me on my way to work/home, read during my lunch break, camping and day road trips. I don’t keep many apps on it besides my books on it since I have the iPad Prom for games and drawing.
Seagate 2TB Game Hard Drive for PlayStation 4 For awhile we played russian roulette with the games that we had installed on our PS4, since it only has 500 Gb of memory built in. It became a pain having to delete games that we both wanted to play but didn’t have enough memory space on the console. One of my favorite games Elder Scrolls Online takes up roughly 95GB alone, and we have 23 games right now. Since we bought the 2 TB external hard drive, it has fixed the problem and have yet to run out of space. We don’t have the issue anymore of logging on and finding out the other person deleted the game that you wanted to play and now have to wait almost an hour or more to install.
Every one has moments where they get into a funk. It can be because your doing to much, feeling uninspired, or to much of nothing. It can also be from SAD-Seasonal Affective Disorder which is more of a environmental issue. A lack of sunshine, under artificial lights, and even when the sun is outside, being covered from head to toe and not spending the amount of time outside like we would in the warmer months.
When I start feeling kinda blah or in a funk I like to ether pick up a book or tv series that I have been kinda interested in and is on my list to read or watch. For an example, I kinda wanted to start watching Riverdale, but wasn’t sure about it. Then one week I was in a blah kinda funk and put it on in the background, next thing I knew I was half a season in. I also find Pinterest and youtube both great sources to fall down the rabbit hole and come out with something fresh. Two words: Shane Dawson.
So here is a list of ways I like to get out of a funk.
- Go for a walk
- Listen to music
- Create Art
- Try baking/cooking
- Make a cup of tea
- Read a book
- Browse Pinterest
- New Tv series
- Try colouring
- Start working out
- Try doing yoga.
- Have a bath or shower
- Watch a movie
- New haircut/color
- Dance and sing
- Meditate for 10 minutes
- Dress up
- Write a list
- Phone a friend
Far Cry New Dawn
I have been slightly obsessed with this game since it came out . It takes place sometime after Far Cry 5 in the same town, but different storyline. Overall not a bad game. The husband has already finished it.
So I signup for a month to month subscription with boxy charm in late January and received both the January and February boxes around the sometime. Boxy Charm is roughly $21 a month, they have 3, 6, 12 months plans also. So far i have really enjoyed each item that I have received. In the January box I received one of the Tarte Limited Edition Rainforest of the Sea Highlight Which alone is $36.
This primer is one of the items I received in my February Boxy charm, and I have been using it so much now. I really like how it applies and makes my makeup look.
I finally went and got my medusa piercing that I have been wanting for the longest time now and I’m so happy I finally did it! I have to wait until about mid march to be able to change it, I’m counting down the days. The longer bar that I have in, to help with healing and swelling, is so annoying. It catches on the bottom of my teeth sometimes when I’m trying to eat or drink.
We finally went ahead and got some silicone wedding rings. This is something we have talked about before and felt this was better for our lifestyle. Nether one of us has to worry about losing or having something happening to our “nice” wedding rings. I just keep our “nice” rings in a safe place where if we choose to wear them we can.
I have finally found my go to foundation that works so well for me. Blends like a dream and is more on the dewy side. I don’t find the need to powder after applying and is long lasting. I would give a 5 star but I could do without the scent. It’s not bad but not terrible, it does fade over time.
Crystal Water Bottle
My mom bought her self and me one of those water bottles with the crystal that sits at the button of the bottle. It is the coolest thing ever! She picked out the fluorite crystal for me and her birthstone, amethyst.
After a year later I wanted to share with you my 4 favorite blogging apps that I use every time I write a blog post. I did do a blog post a while back on 6 Blogging Tools Any Blogger Needs. But I wanted to focus more on what apps I find myself using and going back to a year later.
I dont think I can say this enough. I love Twitter. Until I started using twitter for my blog, my blog did not get the traffic it does now. I have connected with so many other bloggers by using twitter to throw my blog post into the web, retweet accounts who most of the time also host chats and daily threads.
I have been using Adobe Spark for awhile now and I keep going back to it. It is my favorite to use for blog headers and other graphics that I may need to make for my blog, both my Twitter & Retweet Account.
Snapseed is great for editing photos and the best part is, its free. I have it on my phone and iPad. I wish they had it for desktop/laptop. It has so many features and so easy to use. I love it! It has everything I need to edit photos.
Hootsuite does all of my scheduling for my tweets for my blog. I use the free plan and it works well. You only get to schedule 30 tweets at any given time but I make it work. I also use it for my Retweet Account for schedule posts I have for that week. I really enjoy using Hootsuite, it is very easy to use.
I use the wordpress app on my iPad, laptop and sometime on my phone for blog posts. You have everything that you need all right there for you that you would have if you were on a browser. It’s virtually the same. I just prefer the app if I’m on the go. I don’t write up a post on my phone because I find it is just to small to be doing all of that typing. I just prefer a bigger screen to do everything.
