Holy Grail Home Favorites of 2018

Here is a list of items that we really enjoyed in our home for 2018. This list isn’t really big but they have made life a little smoother for us in our home. You can read about my 9 Holy Grail Skin Care Favorites Of 2018

Method Cleaning Supplies We started using Method early in the year. I wanted to find a cleaner that was more natural around our cats but would also do the job. So far we use the laundry soap, Bathroom cleaners- toilet and daily shower, Daily cleaner for the kitchen, Antibacterial cleaner for the cat box and Degreaser for the stove and oven. For natural cleaners, their line is very affordable.

Echo Dot Alexa reminds me to water the plants, take my nightly vitamins and insulin, time dinner or laundry and she also plays Spotify for our at home work out sessions. I also have her telling me each morning what the weather and news is like for the day. My husband on the other hand, uses her to tell him jokes or to confuse the cats by playing cat noises.

Kindle Fire HD 8 I love using my Kindle Fire for all of my ebooks. I could use my iPad Pro for my books but I don’t really like the idea of walking around with a tablet of that size. The kindle is the perfect size. I take it on the bus with me on my way to work/home, read during my lunch break, camping and day road trips. I don’t keep many apps on it besides my books on it since I have the iPad Prom for games and drawing.

Seagate 2TB Game Hard Drive for PlayStation 4 For awhile we played russian roulette with the games that we had installed on our PS4, since it only has 500 Gb of memory built in. It became a pain having to delete games that we both wanted to play but didn’t have enough memory space on the console. One of my favorite games Elder Scrolls Online takes up roughly 95GB alone, and we have 23 games right now. Since we bought the 2 TB external hard drive, it has fixed the problem and have yet to run out of space. We don’t have the issue anymore of logging on and finding out the other person deleted the game that you wanted to play and now have to wait almost an hour or more to install.

January Favorites

I cant believe January went by already! Hope everyone is is having a good start to the new year! We are just going to jump right in to my favorites for the month of January.

Pacifica Glow Greens Beauty Powder

So pacifica came out with beauty powders, one for sleep, skin, probiotics and stress. Im not going to lie, when I saw that they were coming out with supplements, I was so happy and wanted to try the one for the skin. I am finishing up my 1st bottle of the Glow Greens and will be opening the a second one in a few days. You don’t even know your drinking greens! It has a lemon flavor and is so good. I drink this every night with my vitamins.

UpSpring Reproductive Support

For a while now I have been battling with some pretty bad hormonal cystic acne along my jaw and chin. No amount of exfoliating or deep cleaners has completely cleared it up even with my spin brush. I didn’t want to be on medication, so I found an alternative solution. So far, I’m on my third bottle and my skin has not had a flare up once. It’s so clear and good looking its unreal. Mind blowing, honestly! I do still get the occasional, what I call pop ups (tiny/small zits that are gone by the next day) but nothing like before where it would be weeks going into months where I would have a cystic zit.

I mainly bought UpSpring Reproductive Support solely to try on the hormonal acne but it also has added benefits for reproductive health, and it also helps with female fertility and  libido. Shatavari helps with hormonal balance, Black cohosh supports increased fertility and pregnancy and Maca with  libido.

Overtone Vibrent Purple

Well I went back to purple hair and used the overtone vibrant purple deep conditioner. It smells so good and minty. I always go back purple, there is just something about purple hair, its my favorite.

Static Nails Glue

Im not sure what Staic Nails does with their nail glue but it is amazing. Their nails are great also but that nail glue is the shit. I also have use the glue with other glue on nail brands and it works just as well. Im talking, these nails aren’t going anywhere for 3 weeks. And did I mention the glue is only $4! I have tried other glues and after a day or two the nails pop off. Right now im trying to use up some of my other glue on nails from kiss and other brands that I have bought in the past before I buy more from Static Nails. But I will be ordering more from them for sure.

New Glasses

So I ordered some more glasses from Zenni Optical. I couldn’t decide between the the black or tortoiseshell cat eyes so I got both, and I’m so glad I did. I love the clear frames also! Not sure which ones are my favorites.

Thanks for reading!

November Favorites

Here are  some of the things I really enjoyed  and reached for a lot in the month of November.

Pacifica Face Lotion

I picked up 2 lotions by Pacifia one is a overnight Wake Up Beautiful Mask and the other is Kale Luxe Oil-Free Cream. The Kale Luxe, is good for helping  improve appearance of healthy skin texture, tone and brightness. Its also good for acne prone skin.  I apply after doing my nightly face routine, of washing and toning. Then right before bed for  little extra hydration, I apply the Wake Up Beautiful Mask on. Boy, does my face feels so soft when I wake up. I am loving this combo so far for winter. I have also noticed that my foundation doesn’t cling to any dry patches that I might have.

Morphe Eyeshadow Palettes

Both the Jacklyn Hill Palette & 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette are to die for. The colors are gorgeous and buttery. I have no need for primer when I use ether palette and the staying power is great. I don’t know which one is my favorite out of the two, it would have to be a tie. I almost got the Jacklyn Hill Vault Collection  instead of the Boss Mood Palette, but then I saw the color story of it in the store and decided for the price and how many shadows you get compared to the 4 and it’s almost the same color story. I thought it was a win win.

Always Cold Club Coffee Mug

I finally got my hands on a coffee tumbler by Girrlscout. I just love it! I have a few more of her items that are in her shop. I can’t wait for our trip next month to use my Overnight Shit bag, which goes great with my Face Shit  makeup bag.

 Soph x Revolution Highlighter Palette

I was in the need for a highlighter palette. The Soph x Revolution Palette  gives me 8 different options to pick from. I love the pink and purple highlight the most out of this palette. They add just a little extra something.

Design.Me Quickie Dry Shampoo & Puff  Me Up Light

I really like their Quicke Me Light  Dry Shampoo. I picked up the light one for blondes and pastel hair because I have a light pinkish purple color at the moment. It works really well at soaking up any oil I might have in my hair and makes it look so fresh. Puff Me Up Light  is one of my favorites to use to add volume to my hair. A couple of puffs  in my hair and we have some big hair.

Sally Hansen 7 In 1 Nail Treatment

So I had acrylic nails on for about 3 months (had fills done in that time) and finally it got to the point that they were starting to lift a bit on a few nails. I figured it was time to say goodbye and let my nails breathe. Since then I have been putting the Complete Care 7 in 1 Nail Treatment Sally Hansen. They are looking so much better now, I apply nightly  before bed.

My Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

As you know I use tarot in my life and I have for a while now. Within the last year,  I use a mixture of tarot, oracle and affirmation cards. Within in the last 4 years I bought my first oracle deck and last year I bought my first affrimation deck and over the last few years have added more since. I find that some them are more intuned, stronger reading or clearer messages then others but they all do the same job. I wanted to share some of the  decks that I reach for a lot.

Tarot Cards

Oceanic TarotDSCN2827

The Oceanic Tarot is my favorite and to think I wasn’t sure about it when I first bought it. But after using it more and more it turns out I really like it and is one that I reach for the most for. I really like that it has a keyword on the card, which is nice if im doing a quick reading.

ShadowscapeMy Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Shadowscapes Tarot was one of my first decks I started out with and I love the artwork in this deck. This deck loves to give me themes whenever I do a reading with it. Like getting the empress card for almost two months straight in almost any reading I did and damn did I shuffle and shuffle and shuffle, and she still kept popping up.  This deck was a gift from my mom and I have the app version on my phone, which sometime I will use if im on the go.

Oracle Cards

Postcards From Spirit

My Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Postcards from Spirit I thought this deck was super unusual and I had to buy. I haven’t seen anything like it really before and very happy that I added it to my collection. The cards are just beautiful and so are the messages on them.

Angelarium Oracle of EmantionsMy Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Angelarium: Oracle of Emanations is another one of my favorites. I bought this one last year as a pre-order and im so happy I did. I wanted an angel deck but not your ordinary angel deck and this is it. The artwork is amazing! When I read for my husband he prefers this deck and we get very clear readings anytime I use it.

Oracle Of VisionsMy Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Oracle of Visions is hands down my favorite Oracle deck. I’m seriously thinking of buying a backup of this deck because I love this one so much and because of the wear and tear it’s getting. This deck does not sugar coat anything, there’s no way of hiding anything from it. It will know, I have had moments of thinking, well geez my life has been a lie.   I also have the app version for this one on my phone.

Affirmation Cards

The Universe Has Your Backfullsizeoutput_1c3b

The Universe Has Your Back is one that I bought last year because I was seeing it a lot on Facebook groups and on Amazon, which made me want them even more. I really enjoy  these cards a lot. I also have most of  Gabrielle Bernstein books which I also enjoy a lot, I think im missing 2 of her books so far.  For me I find that this deck works well with Oracle of Visions and the Oceanic.

Things I’m Loving Right Now

Tv- Into the Badlands

My husband and I have recently started watching Into the badlands. Honestly we are kinda obsessed with it. We watched all of season 1 and got caught up with season 2 which is still airing right now on Sundays. Think of it as a modern Game of Thrones, which we can not wait for it to come back.

Youtube- Channels I’m watching

Lately I have been back into into watching YouTube videos, especially Tati, Gabby, Bunny, Sara Nourse and Jenna Marbles.  Yes I know, what a diverse mix of people. These are people that i have been watching for years now. I started watching Tati about 5-6 and she’s been on YouTube for 7. Im really liking the direction she’s taking her channel.

I am also thinking of starting my own channel soon. Right now I’m looking for some good lighting that is budget friendly.

Affirmation cards

The Miracle Now affirmation cards are ones that I have been reaching for quite a lot lately. I just love the sayings and colors that are on the cards. When I first bought them I wasn’t to sure about them but now I’m pretty happy I did.

My Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Happy planner

I love Happy Planner. I can’t wait to use my 2 new planners in July. Right now I’m using a mini for home/budget, two classics for wellness/memory planning and social media. A few weeks ago I bought some pineapple papers clips and stickers that go great with the new pineapple mini that I will be starting next month.

Books

Some of the books I’m reading at the moment are Big Magic, Love your Lady Landscape, Total Cat Mojo, Lunar Abundance and Detox Judgment. I bounce around alot depending on my mood.

My More Consistent Skincare Routine

Since my My Nightly Routine or Lack of One post, my skin care routine it has changed. I am a lot more consistent with it. Some items I still use and some are new that I have found and enjoy.  It may seem like a lot to some but so far this has been helping my skin behave.

Also everything that I use is affordable, all under $15 depending where you choose to purchase and where you live.  I have linked every product that I listed to their website.  I bought these products from a variety places, such as Target, Walmart,  the products website or local health food stores near me.

Skincare Routine

Daytime

First lets start with the mornings and what steps I take to get ready for the day.

Toner

For toner I still use Dr Thayer’s Lavender and aloe vera with witch hazel toner ($10.95). I love how it smells and makes my face feels clean.

Spot Treatment

I use the Alba Botanica Acnedote Invisable Treatment Gel ($8.99). I just dab it on any zits that pop up and done.

Vitamin B3 Serum

I use the  The Ordaniry Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum by ($5.90).  Which helps with blemishes and can help brighten the skin tone.

Moisturizer

I also still use Earth Science Almond-Aloe Face Moisturizer ($10.99). Lightly scented and makes the skin feel so soft.

Then after that has soaked into my skin I apply my makeup depending on the day.

Night Time

At night I use a little more products and some of them are that same as the morning.

Makup Remover

For removing my makeup I will use Alba Botanica good & clean™
dual textured exfoliating towelettes ($4.72) or Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99). Both of these work really well taking off any makeup I have on my face. I alternate each one for no reason I just rally like both. The towelettes are nice to have since they have a smooth side and a exfoliating side. The charcoal micellar water is pretty neat, it comes clear with charcoal on the bottom and when you are about to use it you shake it to mix the charcoal.

Face Wash

To wash my face I use Alba Botanica Acnedote Deep Pore Wash ($6.19). This face wash has really helped my troubled areas of acne, as long as im consistent with it my face behaves. I still will get the occasional small zit, which is normal and easy to deal with, but not so much of the huge painful cyst acne I frequently get. Those are just so painful, horrible looking and hard to deal.

Toner

For toner, I again use  Dr Thayer’s Lavender and aloe vera with witch hazel toner ($10.95).

Exfoliating Facial-2 times a week

I use The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7.20). AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids)  exfoliate the top layer of  skin for a brighter and even skin.  BHA (Beta hydroxy acids) exfoliates deeper in  the skin to  help clear pore congestion. Tasmanian Pepperberry which makes this peel reddish in color,  helps reduce the irritation associated with acids. The Vitamin B5 helps with healing and black carrot as an antioxidant. Since you only use 2-3 drops a few times a week this  bottle will last you  forever.

Spot Treatment

I use again if needed the Alba Botanica Acnedote Invisable Treatment Gel ($8.99).

Vitiman C Serum

I use the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% by The Ordinary ($12.90). Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant,  helps brightens the skin tone and reduces signs of ageing. Two drops is more than enough for you face and neck, this bottle has lasted me for months.

Antioxidant Serum -3 times a week

I use The Ordinary’s Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% ($6.80). Alpha Lipoic Acid is a potent antioxidant and can restore skin appearance, improve skin texture and tone.  It is also very sensitive to sunlight so it is recommended to be used at night.  Again since you only use 2-3 drops a few times a week a bottle will last for ever.

Moisturizer

I then finish up with  Burt’s Bees Sensitive Night Cream  ($15.00) at night.  It is on the pricey side for me, but a little bit goes a long way. I bought this on whim, since i was looking for a night.

Through out the week I do use other mud masks and peels that I have depending on what my skin is doing at that moment. I also have been using a spin brush that I picked up and I have notice a great improvement since pairing it with the Deep Pore Wash. But I think that will be another post in time.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading!
