Things I’m Loving Right Now

Tv- Into the Badlands

My husband and I have recently started watching Into the badlands. Honestly we are kinda obsessed with it. We watched all of season 1 and got caught up with season 2 which is still airing right now on Sundays. Think of it as a modern Game of Thrones, which we can not wait for it to come back.

Youtube- Channels I’m watching

Lately I have been back into into watching YouTube videos, especially Tati, Gabby, Bunny, Sara Nourse and Jenna Marbles.  Yes I know, what a diverse mix of people. These are people that i have been watching for years now. I started watching Tati about 5-6 and she’s been on YouTube for 7. Im really liking the direction she’s taking her channel.

I am also thinking of starting my own channel soon. Right now I’m looking for some good lighting that is budget friendly.

Affirmation cards

The Miracle Now affirmation cards are ones that I have been reaching for quite a lot lately. I just love the sayings and colors that are on the cards. When I first bought them I wasn’t to sure about them but now I’m pretty happy I did.

My Favorite Tarot & Oracle Decks

Happy planner

I love Happy Planner. I can’t wait to use my 2 new planners in July. Right now I’m using a mini for home/budget, two classics for wellness/memory planning and social media. A few weeks ago I bought some pineapple papers clips and stickers that go great with the new pineapple mini that I will be starting next month.

Books

Some of the books I’m reading at the moment are Big Magic, Love your Lady Landscape, Total Cat Mojo, Lunar Abundance and Detox Judgment. I bounce around alot depending on my mood.

My More Consistent Skincare Routine

Since my My Nightly Routine or Lack of One post, my skin care routine it has changed. I am a lot more consistent with it. Some items I still use and some are new that I have found and enjoy.  It may seem like a lot to some but so far this has been helping my skin behave.

Also everything that I use is affordable, all under $15 depending where you choose to purchase and where you live.  I have linked every product that I listed to their website.  I bought these products from a variety places, such as Target, Walmart,  the products website or local health food stores near me.

Skincare Routine

Daytime

First lets start with the mornings and what steps I take to get ready for the day.

Toner

For toner I still use Dr Thayer’s Lavender and aloe vera with witch hazel toner ($10.95). I love how it smells and makes my face feels clean.

Spot Treatment

I use the Alba Botanica Acnedote Invisable Treatment Gel ($8.99). I just dab it on any zits that pop up and done.

Vitamin B3 Serum

I use the  The Ordaniry Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum by ($5.90).  Which helps with blemishes and can help brighten the skin tone.

Moisturizer

I also still use Earth Science Almond-Aloe Face Moisturizer ($10.99). Lightly scented and makes the skin feel so soft.

Then after that has soaked into my skin I apply my makeup depending on the day.

Night Time

At night I use a little more products and some of them are that same as the morning.

Makup Remover

For removing my makeup I will use Alba Botanica good & clean™
dual textured exfoliating towelettes ($4.72) or Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99). Both of these work really well taking off any makeup I have on my face. I alternate each one for no reason I just rally like both. The towelettes are nice to have since they have a smooth side and a exfoliating side. The charcoal micellar water is pretty neat, it comes clear with charcoal on the bottom and when you are about to use it you shake it to mix the charcoal.

Face Wash

To wash my face I use Alba Botanica Acnedote Deep Pore Wash ($6.19). This face wash has really helped my troubled areas of acne, as long as im consistent with it my face behaves. I still will get the occasional small zit, which is normal and easy to deal with, but not so much of the huge painful cyst acne I frequently get. Those are just so painful, horrible looking and hard to deal.

Toner

For toner, I again use  Dr Thayer’s Lavender and aloe vera with witch hazel toner ($10.95).

Exfoliating Facial-2 times a week

I use The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7.20). AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids)  exfoliate the top layer of  skin for a brighter and even skin.  BHA (Beta hydroxy acids) exfoliates deeper in  the skin to  help clear pore congestion. Tasmanian Pepperberry which makes this peel reddish in color,  helps reduce the irritation associated with acids. The Vitamin B5 helps with healing and black carrot as an antioxidant. Since you only use 2-3 drops a few times a week this  bottle will last you  forever.

Spot Treatment

I use again if needed the Alba Botanica Acnedote Invisable Treatment Gel ($8.99).

Vitiman C Serum

I use the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% by The Ordinary ($12.90). Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant,  helps brightens the skin tone and reduces signs of ageing. Two drops is more than enough for you face and neck, this bottle has lasted me for months.

Antioxidant Serum -3 times a week

I use The Ordinary’s Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% ($6.80). Alpha Lipoic Acid is a potent antioxidant and can restore skin appearance, improve skin texture and tone.  It is also very sensitive to sunlight so it is recommended to be used at night.  Again since you only use 2-3 drops a few times a week a bottle will last for ever.

Moisturizer

I then finish up with  Burt’s Bees Sensitive Night Cream  ($15.00) at night.  It is on the pricey side for me, but a little bit goes a long way. I bought this on whim, since i was looking for a night.

Through out the week I do use other mud masks and peels that I have depending on what my skin is doing at that moment. I also have been using a spin brush that I picked up and I have notice a great improvement since pairing it with the Deep Pore Wash. But I think that will be another post in time.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading!

Favorite Makeup Under $15

I thought I would share my favorite makeup items that are all under $15. All of the items I list are drug store. I don’t buy high-end or expensive makeup because well, I have bills, want to eat and need a place to live. I just can’t see spending more than $20 on a makeup item.  So I try to find dupes of the high-end items and call it a day. I have nothing against people who do spend the extra money. But here are items that I have found that work for me, under $15.

Favorite Makeup Under $15
Using all items listed

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid -$10.00 I love how this goes on my skin. When I’m wearing  this foundation it’s almost like I’m not wearing any. It applies beautiful.

NYX Professional Makeup Matte Liquid Liner– $7.00 This eyeliner does not budge at all.  Its amazing. It does not have a felt tip, which im very use to using, but a brush instead. It takes a little getting use to.

ESSENCE Colour Correcting Stick $2.99 Super creamy and easy to blend. I have the green to cancel any redness that I may have. But lately I have been having some really bad break outs and not much is hiding them completely. I still see some redness showing through but not nearly as bad when I don’t use any color correcting.

ESSENCE Coverstick-$2.99 Does the job nicely and covers any imperfections  and is also very creamy and blendable. Same as the color correcting, I’m dealing with some really bad break outs but it does help. When my break outs aren’t extremely  angry you can’t tell I have them.  I’m on the look out for a another concealer for my really bad break outs.

Elf Cosmetics  Instant Lift Brow Pencil – $2.00 I have repurchased this brow pencil for the third time  now and I always go back to it. I love that it has a spoolie. Makes my brows very natural looking.

Face Candy Milk Shake Palette – $12.00 I just love the eyeshadows shades from this palette. The creams, nudes,  browns, corals, and  purples are a great combo for spring. There is some fall out but they blend very well. This palette looks like a dupe for the Too Faced Just Peachy Palette.

Elf Cosmetics Mineral Pearls– $8.00 This produt is a bronzer highlighter and blush all in one. Go light when applying. A little goes a long way.

NYX Professional Studio Finishing Powder Translucent Finish-$9.99 Works well and keeps my makeup in place all day. Also doesnt dry out my t zone like other powders have in the past.

Elf Cosmetics Natural Lash Kit-$2.00 These are very natural looking. It took my husband 4 days of wearing them  to ask me if I was wearing fake lashes. 4 days. Why, yes dear I am.

Kiss Ever EZ Lash Adhesive, Clear-$3.99 Very easy to apply on the lashes and stays on all day for me. I havent notice smell when opening a bottle.

So I don’t have a mascara listed  since all of my mascaras are travel sizes  from my Ipsy Bag and I don’t see the need to buy a full size mascara when I’m sent travel sizes. But one of my favorites that I received in a ipsy bag a while back is the Tarte Lifted Sweatproof Mascara in black brown. I will use it to set my brows after I fill them in.

2017 Beauty Favorites That I cannot Live without

If any of these products were to be stopped. I would cry. That’s how much I LOVE them. I have not found any other products that give me the results that they do. I reach for them just about everyday. So I thought I would share with you my favorites that I cannot live without.

Face

WATER BOOST SENSITIVE SKIN MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

I had a coupon and want to try something that a lot of people were talking about. It takes off all of my makeup and does a good job getting everything. Even on days I don’t wear makeup, I still use this on my face. I have about a third left in the bottle and will be buying more.

ALBA BOTANICAL ACNEDOTE DEEP PORE WASH

Holy cow! This worked so well on my acne and scarring it’s unreal. It really gets into the pore and cleans them out. I love how it makes my face after washing it. It smells great as well.

FORMULA 10.0.6 KEEP YOUR COOL MASK

One of my favorite mask for calming down acne. It feels refreshing and cool when you apply. I’ve notice less redness and small zits the next morning when using.

YES TO MIRACLE OIL

Definitely a daily staple for me. I use this twice a day and it has helped with dryness from the winter, makes my makeup look great and not cakey because of the cold weather. Thanks winter. It also soaks in fast and leaves your skin so soft. Plus you can use it in your hair and body.

SO FREASH SO CLEAN FUNKY FACIAL CLEANSING POWER BRUSH

I wanted to give a facial brush a try and happen to see one at walmart while I was shopping. I paid only $6 for it and think it was well worth the money. I do plan on upgrading to one that has more brushes but not sure when that will be.

Hair

HASK CHIA SEED VOLUMIZING DRY SHAMPOO

This puppy soaks up any oil and makes your hair feeling great. This is the best dry shampoo so far that I have tried. Also smells awesome!

VERY VOLUMIZING POMEGRANATE SHAMPOO

Two things. 1 My favorite smell EVER. 2 Volume. Not much more I can say besides it’s natural and doesn’t has all that chemical crap in it. It does a amazing job on my fine hair. I will be needing a new bottle soon.

Body

ALBA VERY EMOLLIENT CREAM SHAVE

If it wasn’t weird, I would let everyone feels how soft my legs feel after shaving with this. And it smells great!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. What are some of your favorites?
