Here is a list of items that we really enjoyed in our home for 2018. This list isn’t really big but they have made life a little smoother for us in our home. You can read about my 9 Holy Grail Skin Care Favorites Of 2018
Method Cleaning Supplies We started using Method early in the year. I wanted to find a cleaner that was more natural around our cats but would also do the job. So far we use the laundry soap, Bathroom cleaners- toilet and daily shower, Daily cleaner for the kitchen, Antibacterial cleaner for the cat box and Degreaser for the stove and oven. For natural cleaners, their line is very affordable.
Echo Dot Alexa reminds me to water the plants, take my nightly vitamins and insulin, time dinner or laundry and she also plays Spotify for our at home work out sessions. I also have her telling me each morning what the weather and news is like for the day. My husband on the other hand, uses her to tell him jokes or to confuse the cats by playing cat noises.
Kindle Fire HD 8 I love using my Kindle Fire for all of my ebooks. I could use my iPad Pro for my books but I don’t really like the idea of walking around with a tablet of that size. The kindle is the perfect size. I take it on the bus with me on my way to work/home, read during my lunch break, camping and day road trips. I don’t keep many apps on it besides my books on it since I have the iPad Prom for games and drawing.
Seagate 2TB Game Hard Drive for PlayStation 4 For awhile we played russian roulette with the games that we had installed on our PS4, since it only has 500 Gb of memory built in. It became a pain having to delete games that we both wanted to play but didn’t have enough memory space on the console. One of my favorite games Elder Scrolls Online takes up roughly 95GB alone, and we have 23 games right now. Since we bought the 2 TB external hard drive, it has fixed the problem and have yet to run out of space. We don’t have the issue anymore of logging on and finding out the other person deleted the game that you wanted to play and now have to wait almost an hour or more to install.
Anyone one who has an essential oil diffuser knows they should clean the diffuser at lest monthly. No? That’s okay because I didn’t either, it wasnt untill one day I went to add oils into the one in our bedroom and notice it was very dirty inside and thought, hmm I should clean this. But I didn’t know how to. So I did some research (meaning Pinterest and google) and found a very easy way to clean my diffusers.
In order to keep you diffuser to run well you should wipe it out after each use and letting it air dry. You can run some lemon oil in your diffuser for a bit and it will make wiping out the inside much easier. Some diffusers don’t use water and you can still clean it by rinsing the nozzle and wiping it clean.
But first before you start cleaning make sure of what kind diffuser you have since there are so many different kinds out there.
- Turn off your diffuser.
- Fill the water reservoir halfway to the line with clean water.
- Add 10 drops of white vinegar to the water reservoir.
- Turn it on and let run for 3-5 minutes, allowing the vinegar to run through.
- Drain the water reservoir completely.
- Wipe down the edges of the reservoir and the ultrasonic mist chip at the bottom.
- Rinse the water reservoir with clean water.
This method of cleaning works well with the diffuser’s that I own. I hope this helps anyone with a diffuser who was unsure how to clean one or didnt know they should!
I know spring began in March. It is now May, and as I write this at 8:45 in the morning with 65 degree weather with a possible high of 83 and all of my windows open. Here in south-eastern Wisconsin it’s finally feels and looks like spring. With that I finally feel like spring cleaning and organising my home and life. Just kidding about my life, its pretty organized. But I do have projects that I would like to start, like going through my clothes, cleaning up the closets that I dumped random items in when we moved in December or organise our storage bin in our apartment again because of all the random items I dumped in there. I can only blame my self for that, but in my defense moving is very tiring.
As I was thinking of projects that need to get done, I realised this would be a great blog post to do. So I made a list of different ways you organize.
