My 2019 Planner Lineup

I love pen and paper, I grew up handwriting everything. There’s just something about writing with a pen on paper, unless you also grew up handwriting everything, I think you’ll understand what I’m saying. It took me a while to figure out what planners worked for me. I tried cramming everything into one planner but that didn’t last to long and things became cramped and messy. I have also tried to break everything thing down but i don’t like the idea of having separate planners all over.

Anyways my planner line up is very simple for 2019. I will have 6 planners total. But 3 will be all on 1 set of discs. I am trying what the planner community is calling, transformer planner. So I will have my main planner, journal and a moon journal all together on a set of discs, I will keep 3 months at time for each planner in this new system. So every three months I will replace the months out. Where as my social media and on the go planner are by themselves with the whole 12 months. Then we have my memory planner.

I feel this fixes my problem of wanting different planners for different areas but not so many planners, if that makes sense. Otherwise i have planners everywhere and I don’t like that, it makes me feel unorganized and everywhere. I also put the transformer planner on extender rings because of its chunkiness, even through I had such a hard time deciding between the black, white or clear blue discs that the planners came with originally . At first I did decide on the white that came with the Enjoy all things planner, but the plastic discs tend to break and the pages don’t move as smoothly when it gets chunky.

Main Squeeze

Enjoy All the Things Horizontal Classic is my main planner with everything in it, bills, to do lists, food shopping, meal planning, doctor appointments, budgeting, work, etc. It is also a themed planner, which I just love. This one is is adorable alone with out any stickers but I love decorating this planner. I have so much fun with it.

Journal

Modern Chic Horizontal Classic is more or less my place to write down thoughts. I also write down things might have happened that day, affirmations or quotes from books I’m reading. I try to write in it everyday, even if it is something small. This was the first horizontal planner I bought and I have not looked back. I love horizontal planning. I decorate with a few stickers but just enough for a little something since it is a pretty minimal and neutral layout.

Moon Journal

Agate Vertical Classic is used for my tarot readings and anything Woo Woo. This is my only vertical planner and it works out for the type of cards I pull daily. I pull a tarot card, oracle card and an affirmation card for each day, there are three boxes for each day. So this works great for this. I don’t normally decorate this one at all since I like to keep this one simple.

On the go

Keep Bright and Beautiful Mini will be on the go planner, just something that I can throw in my bag if I need to. I will mainly keep this one in my bag or purse. Sometime I decorate it and sometimes I don’t. Most of the time I add a few check lists and a quote or two. Thats normally it with this planner since its mainly for quickly writing down something.

Social Media

Miss Maker Mini is what I use for my social media planner. I keep track of Bloggingbeesrt, my twitter and blog posts. I feel it is the the perfect size for what I need it for, just enough white space and its horizontal. I find I can plan out better this way. I also don’t decorate this one to much since I like to keep this one simple and clean.

Memory Keeping

Life is an amazing adventure is for Memory Keeping. I tried it in October and hoping to pick it back up again for 2019.

So that it. That’s my line up for 2019. It’s simple enough and seems to be working well for the last few months of testing it out before the new year. I am really excited to see how the transformer method works for me. I would love to see what planner lineup you have.

Working With The Moon

Just like the Moon affects the ocean’s tides, the Moon’s waxing and waning also affects our lives. Working with the phases of the Moon is a simple and practical, and to add to  your everyday life.

Not only do I read tarot but I also work with the moon phases. This is something that I have been doing for a couple of months now and I enjoy adding it to my life along with tarot. I have found this to be helpful with setting goals and staying on track with self-care. Some books that I recommend reading about the moon phases and working with the moon are Lunur Abundance and Moonology.

NEW MOON | FRESH START

The new moon represents the menstrual cycle. Think of the new moon as a fresh start, and a time when you can regain your strength to begin again. The themes surrounding the new moon are new beginnings, fresh starts, and clean slates.

Setting a clear intentions during a New Moon is the time to do it. You can use this time for a clean slate. Recharging under the energy of this new moon and mentally throw all unwanted thoughts away.

To do this, it’s best to unplug and give yourself  alone time. As the moon turns dark, turn away from the draining energy of others. Don’t feel bad for canceling plans or not wanting to call, text, or be around anyone. Time to yourself is a good way to make the most of the new moon.

WAXING MOON |  ACTION

Because the first quarter moon occurs a week after the new moon, we normally  feel some sort of obstacles. If you set intentions during the new moon, expect to experienced challenges towards your goals.  The themes surrounding this moon are challenges, decisions, and action.

Do not lose your head when things come out of nowhere. Flexibility is the best way to handle this moon phase. Keep the intentions you set during the new moon in your mind

The best way to start acting on them is to keep a to-do list and a journal. There should be a physical representation of you writing and acting out your intentions. Write yourself a daily to-do list and cross off things as you complete them.

FULL MOON | HARVEST

The first full moon in September, is when farmers traditionally harvest their crops. This is the time you should be reaping the benefits of the intentions you had set during the new moon.

During this moon phase this is a powerful time to visualize your intentions by using the energy of the Full Moon.

You will see these benefits in the form of new opportunities or even as results from the hard work done the previous week. Make sure you’re prepared and open to receiving these.

WANING MOON | LETTING GO

The themes surrounding this moon are release, letting go, and forgiveness. As the moon decreases in size, you should to be ready to let go of stuff, all grudges and anger. Purging  yourself to be able to receive the new intentions you will set again during the next new moon.

A great practice during this moon is a cleanse. Clean out your home, your closet, your relationships, your computer and old habits. Look at anything that’s no longer has a purpose to you and get rid of it. Pay close  attention to the unnecessary emotional and physical clutter that you my have during past cycle and rid yourself of it.

Me personally I do a monthly purge and get rid of things I held on to for a some reason in the past. Afterwards it feels great to let all of that go.

I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Setting Intentions With The New Moon

A new moon symbolizes new beginnings and new intentions! New Moon Energy can be very powerful. Tapping into this energy can also support your dreams and desires. We can harness the energy of the new moon to fulfill our visions and make our desires come true by setting new intentions.

This is the perfect time to start fresh! You can also use the energy of a new moon to achieve new goals or to start a new project. Anytime during a new moon, take this time to reflect back on any goals you may have had in the past and set new ones for yourself.

Do not ask for too much, keep your list simple and realistic with maybe no more than 10 goals.

THE MOON PHASES

Each phase has its own energy and it’s different for everyone.

Below is a list of Moon phases, and the energy they create.

  • New Moon: New beginnings & fresh starts.
  • Waxing Moon: Building, accomplishments, creativity, growth and learning, positive transformation
  • Full Moon: Abundance, harvest, wish-fulfillment, manifesting desires, sexuality, achieving all dreams, protection
  • Waning Moon: Cleansing, releasing, shedding old patterns,
  • Dark Moon: Rest, Peace, deep wisdom, divination,

 INTENTIONS WITH THE NEW MOON:

Create a sacred place.
This can be an altar, desk, or corner in your home. Create a little area that is beautiful and reserved for your spiritual practices. This can be as elaborate or as simple as you want it to be. Make a space that makes you feel inspired & grounded.

Clear the space.

You can use sage a feather or a flame to clear the space you are working in.

Make a list.
I suggest writing them down and then speaking them loudly, by physically speaking them you symbolize your intention to manifest any your goals you have. Be clear with your intentions. Your intentions must not be focused on other people, you cannot change others.

New Moon Meditation.
When your list is complete spend 10-15 minutes meditating on it.

Close out the ritual.
Once your meditation is over, put your new moon intention list away until next month where you can go over it to see what has manifested. When an item on your lists becomes real thank the universe.
